Russian drone strike on Dnipro train station kills at least 13 as local truce holds

On Thursday a Russian drone hit a busy platform at a railway station in Dnipro, killing at least 13 people. President Zelensky called the attack "horrific" and said it demands a response from Ukraine's allies. Russia said more than 600 drones were launched towards Moscow overnight. Meanwhile the localized ceasefire around Oleshky entered a third day, and a Ukrainian official said aid will enter the town on Friday.

• The Dnipro station strike came despite the rare local ceasefire around Oleshky, while other communities remained under fire.
• The truce, first planned for stranded Oleshky residents, was extended across the Kherson region on Tuesday, with Russia and Ukraine saying no breaches had been reported then.
• On Tuesday Zelenskyy said Russia launched 16 ballistic missiles and more than 280 drones overnight, with at least 15 injured in Kyiv, and strikes hit a major Kyiv bridge.
• The leaders of Norway and Finland held a call with Putin on Tuesday, the first direct contact between European leaders and Putin in more than a year, and the US is reportedly considering lifting sanctions on Russia's flagship investment fund.
