UK still deporting asylum seekers to France weeks after 'one in one out' scheme ended
The Guardian reports the Home Office is still detaining dozens of asylum seekers and forcibly removed one group to France this week, despite the UK-France returns scheme having ended. The scheme was announced in July 2025 to deter Channel small-boat crossings.
