Hinton warns AI could trigger a major power or banking outage within a year or two
Nobel-winning computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton told the Guardian humans might have been better off without AI. He warned it could cause a large-scale incident, such as a temporary blackout of financial or power systems, this year or next.
