Democrats win House and Senate in midterms; Republicans split over Iran war blame

Democrats won control of the House and the Senate in Tuesday's midterm elections, flipping Senate seats in Maine, Ohio, Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina. Trump conceded that Democrats did well and said the Iran war may have played a role, but did not take personal responsibility. On Wednesday The Guardian reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth may take the blame for the losses. Vice-president JD Vance said the war doomed Republicans.
