Russian missiles hit Kyiv, injuring two, as death toll from Zaporizhzhia strike reaches 42

Russian air strikes hit Kyiv on Saturday, damaging buildings and injuring two civilians, after Zelenskyy had warned that new strikes were possible. Earlier in the week, officials said the toll from Monday's Russian bombing of an aid distribution point in Zaporizhzhia region had risen to 42, with dozens still missing. Both sides continued to trade drone strikes on energy and logistics sites, while diplomacy centred on planned talks in Abu Dhabi and a White House meeting.
