On Saturday, a magnitude 6.0 quake at 352 km depth struck 58 km SSE of Shima, Japan, with 29 felt reports and a green PAGER alert.
Other magnitude 5.0 to 5.2 quakes hit Panama and Iran on Saturday, and the Balleny Islands region, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia earlier in the period.
